About Me
Ma bio en français sur ELLE.fr
Since being approached by French publishers Hachette to write my first cookbook “Petits Plats entre Amis” in 2000, my unabashed love of eating and cooking, with a penchant for chocolate, has kept me busy writing cookbooks.
I have now published over 25 books in English and French which have been widely translated, including commissions for La Grande Epicerie de Paris, Picard France and Marks and Spencer France. The books have won 5 World Gourmand Awards, Le Prix Laduree, le Prix la Mazille for Ma Petite Robe Noire and le Prix des Savoureuses for C'est de la Trish at Périgueux and le Prix de la Nuit du Livre for Gouts de Luxe. In 2010 to my complete delight I was named one of French GQ and Vogue’s 50 Women of the decade.
In 2013 I published 'The Paris Gourmet' a guide to Parisian restaurants, markets and shops in English and French, for Flammarion.
I have presented three RTE TV cookery series broadcast by BBC Lifestyle worldwide and two recent productions with BBCNI. I'm currently The Gloss Magazine Ireland's food writer, and have written for, reviewed in and contributed to ELLE and ELLE à Table France, Image Ireland, Le Fooding, Wallpaper Guides, The Guardian, The Gloss features, The Observer Food Monthly The Financial Times, The Sunday Times and The Irish Times.
Here's a BBC Radio 4 Food Programme Sheila Dillon made about me where we talk about my life in France and return to Ireland in 2015.
After four years in the little food paradise of west Cork, Ireland, I'm heading back to France. With a few friends, I've spent my time in Ireland writing a little, eating a LOT and setting up relaxed, nourishing events and workshops immersed in the spectacular Irish landscape. Now it's time to go back and finish the love story I started with France many years ago.
My new book, 'C'est de la Trish' with publishers De La Martinière, is the first of a new series with them.
